JESUS IS COMING – END TIMES 3

Updated: May 24

Are you ready?

What Does Jesus Have to Say?

The Bible foretells many signs that will culminate in the last days. Jesus told His disciples that these signs would culminate or there would be a convergence of these signs as His return drew near.

“I am telling you this now, before it takes place, that when it does take place you may believe that I am He” (John 13:9).

The FIRST TIME Jesus came He brought love, redemption, and forgiveness which is Salvation to a dying world.

The SECOND TIME Jesus comes He will bring the justice and wrath of Father God to an unbelieving world and redemption to an unbelieving Israel.
JUSTICE AND WRATH

The SECOND TIME Jesus comes He will bring the justice and wrath of Father God to an unbelieving world and redemption to an unbelieving Israel.

Signs Jesus Gives About the End of Age!

“As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, ‘Tell us, when will these things happen, and what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?’ And Jesus answered and said to them, See to it that no one misleads you. For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will mislead many. You will be hearing of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not frightened, for those things must take place, but that is not yet the end. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and in various places, there will be famines and earthquakes. But all these things are merely the beginning of birth pangs (things will happen faster and more intensely). Then they will deliver you to tribulation and will kill you, and you will be hated by all nations because of My name. At that time many will fall away and will betray one another and hate one another. Many false prophets will arise and will mislead many. Because lawlessness is increased, most people’s love will grow cold. But the one who endures to the end, he will be saved. This gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come. "For just as the lightning comes from the east and flashes even to the west, so will the coming of the Son of Man be (many believe this refers to the rapture)” (Matthew 24:3-12,27).

According to Jesus the signs of the “end times” (His 2nd Coming to set up the Millennial Kingdom) are as follows:

  1. See to it that no one misleads you!

  2. Many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will mislead many.

  3. You will hear of wars and rumors or threats of wars.

  4. Nation will rise against nation.

  5. Kingdom against kingdom; ethnic groups against the same ethnic group.

  6. In various places, there will be famines and earthquakes.

  7. Merely the beginning of birth pangs (things will happen faster, more intense, and easier to see).

  8. Then they will deliver you (disciples of Christ) to tribulation and will kill you.

  9. You will be hated by all nations because of My name.

  10. At that time many will fall away (from their faith).

  11. They will betray one another and hate one another.

  12. Many false prophets will arise and will mislead many.

  13. Lawlessness has increased, and most people’s love will grow cold for each other.

An Evil and Violent World

Destruction

Furthermore, we live in an unsettled world! There is danger, violence, and evil all around us. It is beyond our family, church, community, Government, or Nation. It is truly a worldwide phenomenon and there is no secular answer, but there is a Spiritual answer—Jesus Christ.

This is happening right now in the USA and all around the world. God is preparing the world for Jesus’ 2nd return where He will pour His wrath on those who reject Him and bring a secular godless Israel to repentance and salvation. This period is called the Seven-year Tribulation.

A curious thing is that there is no mention of America in the Bible during the end times. Could it be that America lost its world power because it took God out of its nation and lost its moral compass?

Days of Noah – Corrupt and Violent

The biblical account of Noah begins in Genesis 6. Approximately 1,600 years had passed since the creation of Adam and Eve. As the earth’s population exploded in number, it also exploded with evil. Long forgotten was the righteous sacrifice of Abel (Genesis 4:4). As

“The Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intention of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually” (Genesis 6:5).
However, “Noah found favor in the eyes of the Lord” (Genesis 6:8).

Jesus told His disciples what would precede His Second Coming,

“And just as it happened in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man; they were eating, they were drinking, they were marrying, they were being given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all. It was the same as happened in the days of Lot: they were eating, they were drinking, they were buying, they were selling, they were planting, they were building, but on the day that Lot went out from Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all. It will be just the same on the day that the Son of Man is revealed” (Luke 17:26-30).

What was the character of mankind in the days of Noah?

“Now the earth was corrupt in the sight of God, and the earth was filled with violence. God looked on the earth, and behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted their way upon the earth. Then God said to Noah, “The end of all flesh has come before Me; for the earth is filled with violence because of them; and behold, I am about to destroy them with the earth” (Gen 6:11-13).

“A Nation Begging for Destruction”

Dr. David Regan, in a speech called ‘A Nation Begging for Destruction’ states, “In the past the USA was a nation that honored and recognized the Christian principles of our forefathers and the founders of our nation and was very aware of the fact that our blessings came from God. We have become a nation in full-blown, all-out, open rebellion against God. Because:

  1. We worship the almighty dollar.

  2. Greed has become our national motivator.

  3. Sex is our obsession.

  4. Gambling is our national pastime.

  5. We are the world’s greatest users of illicit drugs.

  6. We have banned God from our schools and all public areas.

  7. We are teaching our children the fantasy of evolution.

  8. We have destroyed the sanctity of life and are slaughtering babies (62 million+) in the name of freedom of choice for women.

  9. We have glamorized homosexuality, transsexuality, and any and every perversion of sexuality.

  10. We have destroyed God’s sanctity of marriage between one man and one woman by legalizing same-sex marriage.

  11. In many states, marijuana has been legalized.

  12. We have become the moral polluter of planet Earth, with our violent, immoral, and blasphemous television programs and movies.

  13. We refute science and mutilate our children all in the guise of gender equality.

America is a rebellious nation. We are a nation that has rejected our Christian heritage, and we have replaced that precious heritage with a crude and paganized culture. We are a defiant nation that is thumbing its nose at our Creator God who showered America with unparalleled blessings for over 300 years.”

Therefore, God would call the people of the USA: ungodly, darkened, foolish of heart, unrighteous, denying God’s divine nature, without honor and thanksgiving, fools, idolaters, and without excuse for these beliefs and behaviors.

Men and Nations Who Suppress the Truth

A downfall of human society leads to the downfall of nations. Paul urges Christians to

“no longer live as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their thinking. They are darkened in their understanding and separated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardening of their hearts” (Ephesians 4:17–18).

As believers, we must guard our minds and “let the Spirit renew our thoughts and attitudes. Putting on our new nature, created to be like the image of Christ—truly righteous and holy.

"And that you are to be renewed in the spirit of your minds, and to put on the new self, which in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of the truth"(Ephesians 4:23-24).

God has given humans internal evidence of His existence.

"Everything is appropriate in its own time. But though God has planted eternity in the hearts of men, even so, many cannot see the whole scope of God’s work from beginning to end" (Ecclesiastes 3:11).

Also, God has given humans external evidence of His existence.

"So having overlooked the times of ignorance, God is now proclaiming to mankind that all people everywhere are to repent because He has set a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness through a Man (Jesus) whom He has appointed, having furnished proof to all people by raising Him from the dead” (Acts 17:30-31).
"For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, that is, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, being understood by what has been made, so that they are without excuse" (Romans 1:20).

Some even “knew God, but they wouldn’t worship him as God or even give him thanks. And they began to think up foolish ideas of what God was like. As a result, their minds became dark and confused." They became like the people of Noah’s time:

“The Lord saw how great the wickedness of the human race had become on the earth, and that every inclination of the thoughts of the human heart was only evil all the time” (Genesis 6:5).

When we willfully choose to trade the glory of God and the truth about God for lies, to worship idols and created things instead of the Creator, God gives us what our heart desires, and we fall deeper and deeper into moral decline. One aspect of the downward spiral described by Paul in Romans 1:18–32 is “a debased mind.” The word for “debased” in the original Greek means “morally reprehensible, depraved, worthless, despicable.” The expression is alternatively translated as “corrupt mind”, “foolish thinking”, and “worthless mind”.

“For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, that which is known about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them.
For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power, and divine nature have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse. For even though they knew God, they did not honor Him as God or give thanks, but they became futile in their speculations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
Professing to be wise, they became fools and exchanged the glory of the incorruptible God for an image in the form of corruptible man and of birds and four-footed animals and crawling creatures (idolatry). Therefore, God gave them up to vile impurity in the lusts of their hearts, so that their bodies would be dishonored among them. For they exchanged the truth of God for falsehood and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen. (Romans 1:18-23).

Paul stated that a debased mind leads people into every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant, and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; they have no understanding, no fidelity, no love, no mercy. Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.

"For this reason, God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged natural relations for that which is contrary to nature, and likewise the men, too, abandoned natural relations with women and burned in their desire toward one another, males with males committing shameful acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their error. And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a depraved mind, to do those things that are not proper" (Romans 1:26-28).

A debased mind cannot discern what is good, righteous, moral, or ethical. It estranges people from God, making them “his enemies, separated from him by [their] evil thoughts and actions.

"And although you were previously alienated and hostile in attitude, engaged in evil deeds"(Colossians 1:21).

Paul explained,

“Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace. The mind governed by the flesh is hostile to God; it does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so” (Romans 8:5–7).

A debased mind substitutes what is good for what is evil. It exchanges “the truth about God for a lie” (Romans 1:25). It places more importance on the creation than the Creator (Isaiah 44:16-18). It seeks guidance from the universe rather than pursuing the God of the universe. Paul warned Timothy, “These people always cause trouble. Their minds are corrupt, and they have turned their backs on the truth. To them, a show of godliness is just a way to become wealthy” (1 Timothy 6:5). According to Paul, “depraved minds and a counterfeit faith” describe the condition of false teachers (2 Timothy 3:8).

"people having been filled with all unrighteousness, wickedness, greed, and evil; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, and malice; they are gossips, slanderers, haters of God, insolent, arrogant, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, without understanding, untrustworthy, unfeeling, and unmerciful; and although they know the ordinance of God, that those who practice such things are worthy of death, they not only do the same, but also approve of those who practice them" (Romans 1:29-32).

An Arrogate and Prideful Nation

As a result, when you take God out of America you might expect people or even political parties to be self-indulgent, arrogate, prideful, power-hungry and unloving, only doing what they think is right in their own eyes and for their own personal gain.
Darkness Is Ahead

As a result, when you take God out of America you might expect people or even political parties to be self-indulgent, arrogate, prideful, power-hungry, and unloving, only doing what they think is right in their own eyes and for their own personal gain.

“But realize this, that in the last days, difficult times will come. For men will be (Don’t be naive. There are difficult times ahead. As the end approaches, people are going to be):
lovers of self (self-absorbed), lovers of money (money-hungry), boastful (self-promoting), arrogant (stuck-up), revilers (profane, blasphemous), disobedient to parents (contemptuous of parents), ungrateful (thankless), unholy (secular), unloving (dog eat dog), irreconcilable (unbending), malicious gossips (slanderers), without self-control (impulsively wild), brutal (savage), haters of good (cynical mockers), treacherous (unfaithful, deceitful), reckless (ruthless, cruel, merciless, brutal), conceited (bloated windbags), lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God (addicted to lust and allergic to God),
holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power (they’ll make a show of religion, but behind the scenes they’re animals); Avoid (stay clear) such men as these” (2 Timothy 3:1-5).

Does this sound or look like the attitudes and behaviors of our secular, hedonistic, God-less world?

Of course, it does!

JESUS PLUS NOTHING SAVES YOU

This is a detailed discussion on who Jesus is and how you get saved!

We All Have the Same Dilemma, We're Dead in Sin

Every human being, ethnic group, race, or gender finds themselves in this same dilemma. Therefore, there are three questions you would be wise to ask yourself and extremely prudent to answer.

  1. One, why do I need to be saved?

  2. Two, what does it mean for me to be saved?

  3. Three, how am I saved?

I believe Only Jesus plus nothing not only saves you but answers these three questions.
